Do you rely exclusively on Google for your online searches? If so, you may not always get the best results. Google has its own proprietary logarithms, as do Yahoo, Bing and other search engines. Thus, each serves up a different set of results.

Sometimes a general search engine isn't even the best choice for your search. Certain types of information are better retrieved from a database or reference site.

Boounce (yes, that's the correct spelling with two o's) is a new browser add-on (Firefox and Chrome) that makes it easier to jump from one search tool to another, without retyping your search terms.

Metasearch engines such as Dogpile.com have been around for a long time. They run simultaneous searches of a few general search engines. Boounce goes much further than that. It allows you to search different search engines and databases, depending on the type of content you're looking for.

Here's a video demo. But the best way to get a sense of the power of Bouunce is to try it for yourself.
